Not submitting this one down to the wire... no sir.... Um... I LOVE this guy's hair. It's way too much fun to draw. I also love him because he's a jerk, and I <3 jerks.

More character info below:


Occupation - Will take most any job, but he specializes in smuggling. Not always illegal stuff, but he's willing to stretch the law where necessary

Location - Wherever he can find work. Sticks to the south if he can

Hobbies - Gambling, cheating, mocking others, pulling pranks, being sarcastic, and all around making as much of a jerk of himself as he possibly can

Magic - Doesn't use magic at all, and gets a little nervous around people who do because he doesn't really trust it. Tends to express being nervous by being more of a jerk, if this is imaginable/possible

Social - Jace usually treats people of all races with approximately equal disrespect. He’ll be slightly more reverent of employers and people who look able and/or likely to beat the tar out of him, but generally he’s as much of an asshole as he can get away with

Family – Had two older brothers and a younger sister, but he left home at the age of 12 and doesn’t know if his parents and siblings are still alive or where they are anymore

Friends – Doesn’t usually stay in one place long enough to make friends, and generally his objectionable personality drives away all but those who are forced to work with him. Had a partner/ best friend, who was arrested, so he’s on his own now

Past – Jace spent his childhood bored out of his skull in a small town outside of Pandora. However, at the age of 12, he accidentally got caught up in a smuggling operation. The cheetah terran running the operation, who went by Nero, let the kid tag along. Jace eagerly left home, and though Nero tried to ditch him several times, the kid was persistent, and eventually he took the boy under his wing. Nero, nine years Jace’s senior, was like the older brother he never had. Well, actually since Jace had two older brothers, Nero was more like the interesting older brother he never had. Begrudgingly, Nero raised the kid, and Jace proved himself useful and rather adept in the arts of smuggling, swindling and general con artistry. The feisty old cat managed to turn a generally well-meaning, if mischievous young boy, into a full-fledged douchebag before getting himself arrested and leaving Jace to fend for himself.
So it’s left to be seen if there’s anything redeemable left to Jace’s personality. He’s been working solo for two years, but has stayed true to Nero’s teachings so far, or at least true enough not to help his mentor get out of prison

Current - overall, Jace is a pretty undermotivated guy. His priorities tend to align with whatever will line his pockets and keep his life interesting. He likes to try new things and take risks, though he does try to maintain a enough professionalism and reliability in his work so that he continues to receive jobs

Other - just to reiterate, this guy is the biggest jerk it is ever possible to meet ever, but if you can manage to get past his facade... he's still a jerk. But he does try not to hurt people, and has been known to lend a hand if it's convenient for him, and perhaps with some time around people who aren't Nero, he could become an acceptable member of society. It'd actually be more like barely passable, but it could be done.
He'll talk big, but he's a fair fighter at best. While he is by no means "brave" he does tend to be brazenly reckless, which amounts to about the same thing
